P.S. I Love You Day at Pierson Middle School

Pierson Middle School students recently celebrated P.S. I Love You Day, which is held on the second Friday in February each year. It provides the opportunity for communities, schools, or work offices to all wear purple to stand up against bullying, help end depression, and ultimately prevent suicide.

P.S. I Love You Day is a Long Island-based organization and the Pierson Middle School students showed leadership in supporting the event. “Together they worked to foster a positive environment and instill hope for those affected by mental illness,” said Pierson Middle School Assistant Principal, Stacy Van Duzer. “They wrote positive messages in chalk on the front walkway, wore purple to show their support, and received positive message bracelets when they came in in the morning.”
