Sag Harbor fourth graders embark on a design challenge

Students in Jeff Reed’s fourth grade class at Sag Harbor Elementary School were recently challenged to design a structure that was safe, spacious, and well ventilated. Limited to only two angles – 90 degrees and 135 degrees – the students had several trial-and-error designs to review before choosing a winning design. Working together, the students brought the winning design to life using mainly fabrics and PVC pipes.
