Sag Harbor Elementary hosts kindergarten orientation

Families were recently invited to Sag Harbor Elementary school to hear all about the transition to kindergarten and meet faculty and staff. The night included a welcome and introductions by elementary Principal Matthew Malone and Assistant Principal Betty Reynoso, a deep dive into a full day by kindergarten teachers and teaching assistants, and classroom visits.

Discussions ranged from the first day of school to the natural learning progression of students in each program, including reading, writing, violin, and math to name a few. By rotating between each classroom, parents heard directly from teachers the kindergarten experience, curriculum, and program outcomes as the they chart their way to becoming lifelong learners.
