On Sept. 6, Sag Harbor School District students were welcomed back for the first day of school. At Pierson Middle and High School, faculty and staff greeted the students. On a day that felt like any other warm summer morning, the students were seen embracing fellow classmates and the new academic year with full energy.
At the elementary school, families shared goodbye hugs as teachers helped guide students into the building. Once inside, the children were introduced to this year's school theme, "Reach for the Stars." Together the elementary school students plan to set lofty goals and support each other throughout the year in pursuit of those accomplishments.
