🎗September is childhood cancer awareness month. Pierson Athletics will be participating in the Daniela Conte Foundation’s Go Gold for Childhood Cancer Awareness campaign. Athletes across Suffolk County will be wearing gold shoelaces in support. The money raised will go towards providing financial support to local families of children battling cancer. This year’s sports awards for JV and Varsity athletes will be Tuesday, June 20th at 5pm. Seating is first come first serve under the tent for up to four guests. Pierson Varsity baseball will play against Port Jeff for the county championship this week in a best of 3 series. Game 1, Home Tues, May 16th at 4pm. Game 2, at Port Jeff, Thurs May 18th 4pm. Game 3 if necessary will be played Home Fri, May 19th 4pm. See you there!

Congratulations to Slate Glick on being named athlete of the week! Note from the coach: Sophomore, Slate Glick has 10+ goals and 3 assists on the season. Slate plays both midfield and attack for us. With his aggressive approach he forces the defense into mistakes, often resulting in a penalty and an extra man opportunity for us. Slate continually makes the plays that don't show up in the box score but are invaluable to us.

Congratulations to Lily Perello on being named Athlete of the Week! Our girls varsity lacrosse player of the week is Lily Perello. In 4 games this past week, Lily has 5 goals and 4 assists, helping us to a 2-2 record. Lily is an incredibly versatile player for our team, playing attack, middie, and defense. This week Lily was recognized by an opposing coach for her speed and power up and down the field. Keep up the great work, Lily.
