Joselin Perez, a senior at Pierson High School in Sag Harbor, earned a place on the Honor Roll at The Eastern Long Island Academy of Applied Technology. Perez, who is studying practical nursing in the Career and Technical Education Practical Nursing program, was praised for showing responsibility in the classroom, commitment to work ethic, excellent attendance, and maintaining an A average this quarter, according to Brittany Carriero, the principal of Pierson High School and Middle School.

Perez was also named Employee of the Month in October at the academy. She will graduate from Pierson in June with a Regents Diploma and a Career and Technical Education Endorsement. She plans to complete her Licensed Practical Nursing credential through the academy while simultaneously beginning college classes at Suffolk County Community College this fall.
