On Tuesday, August 21st the 6th grade summer orientation was held. This year it began in the auditorium with quick introductions from administration and the executive board from the PTSA. Then families were broken into breakout rooms that included team building, parent portal, locker practice, tour of the building and middle school culture and curriculum. Faculty and staff of the middle school led the breakout rooms. During the middle school culture and curriculum breakout room Ms. DiNapoli reviewed upcoming events which included a new middle school culture committee and a digital citizenship workshop series for parents. Also during this session Ms. Westhoff went into further detail about the plan for the PLANT curriculum for 6th graders. The day concluded with a picnic in the backyard with families and staff playing yard games on the back field and having snacks on the patio.
