On Tuesday, December 10th the counseling and admissions team from The Academy of Applied Technology (formerly known as BOCES) visited Pierson to introduce the many vocational and technical education programs to the Class of 2022. Starting in junior year all students are eligible to take classes at the academy. The presentation included an overview of the programs and an invite to attend Visitor's Day on February 5, 2020.  This is a link to a summary of the programs in video format  created by the  students in TV and Film Production class at the technical center.

Current seniors who attend the Academy are about to begin their internships, an essential part of skills acquisition and preparation for taking their industry standard assessments later this year.  Pierson seniors are starting internships at sites like a working horse farm, auto repair shops, TV studios, and Medical Offices.

Any 10th or 11th grade student interested in attending Visitor's Day  please see Mr. Mingione or stop into the guidance office for more information.
