Sag Harbor Prekindergarten class learns bus safety

The PreK class at Sag Harbor Learning Center recently had a visit from their district bus driver, Donna Skrezec, to talk about bus safety. With Skrezec’s help, the students learned how to buckle their seatbelts, the importance of remaining in their seats while the bus is in motion, and where to locate the eight emergency exits. “The students even practiced jumping off the back of the bus in case of an emergency and used the bus phone to call the dispatcher,” said PreK teacher, Kara Romeo. In a thank-you letter to Skrezec, the students wrote, “Thank you for teaching us about bus safety. We loved jumping out of the back of the bus!”
